Porto's Pereira cool on Serie A link

Alvaro Pereira has described speculation that he is a target for Napoli and Inter Milan as "just rumours" and insisted he is "focused on Porto".

Pereira, 27, has been one of Porto' s most consistent players in recent seasons and has also produced some impressive displays at international level for Uruguay - notably at the 2010 World Cup and 2011 Copa America - and has been linked with a move away from Estadio do Dragao.

Chelsea were rebuffed after making an approach for the wing-back last year, but Inter and Napoli have emerged as potential suitors this summer.

However, with the start of the Portuguese Liga season looming, Pereira insists he is not contemplating a move abroad.

"I'm a Porto player and I'm not talking about my future," he said after Uruguay's 0-0 draw with France on Wednesday. "There are a lot of rumours, but I'm just thinking about training hard for a club which I am very attached to.

"I'm just focused on Porto. I have a number of international colleagues who play in Italy, and I watch the championship when I can, but all I am hearing are just rumours."
