Ibrahimovic: PSG are better than Milan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic wasted no time, after scoring his first Paris Saint-Germain goal on Saturday, in claiming that the French giants are a better side than his previous employers AC Milan.

Ibrahimovic, 29, moved to Paris along with team-mate Thiago Silva for a combined fee of €65 million (of which the Swede was reported to have cost €23 million himself) and scored on his debut inside three minutes again DC United in Washington.

Despite the fact that PSG were pegged back to a 1-1 draw by the Americans, when asked by reporters if les Parisiens are superior to the Rossoneri, Ibrahimovic responded: "Yes." He then added: "Because they [Milan] lost their two best players," when asked why.

Ibrahimovic is excited about the prospect of playing in a new league and with the arrivals of Ezequiel Lavezzi from Napoli and youngster Marco Verratti from Pescara, he believes they can triumph across the board.

"We're aiming for everything," he said. "We're in the Champions League, we have the two cups in France, so of course a club team has to win everything. We have a top team and we are only missing a winning team."

Coach Carlo Ancelotti, a former manager at the San Siro, was also drawn on the question of who was better but gave a more diplomatic answer.

"I don't know," he replied. "It's not important to compare ourselves to another team.

"[Milan] play a different style with a different philosophy and a different identity. The objective is to improve the quality of our team."
