Real No. 2 talks up Modric abilites
Wantaway Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric "would fit in at Real Madrid" according to Los Blancos' assistant manager Aitor Karanka.
Modric, 26, is determined to force a move to the Bernabeu and has not travelled with the Spurs squad for their tour of the United States. He also missed training on Friday and was fined for his actions before returning to a pre-season session in England on Monday.
Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has stressed that the club "have to hold on to our values and our rights" amid reports that they are holding out for £40 million for the Croatia star.
Real Madrid appear to be the only club both interested in Modric and willing to pay such a high transfer fee, and Los Blancos' No.2 Karanka confirmed that the Spurs ace is firmly on their radar.
"Tell me a club that wouldn't want a player like him," Karanka said. "He's a very talented player who had a great European Championship. It's clear he would fit in at Madrid."
