Robben: Bayern 'hungry' for titles

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben believes that his side are determined to win silverware again, following a season in which they finished runners-up in three major competitions.

Robben, 28, arrived in China on Monday as Bayern continue their pre-season campaign with fixtures scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday.

The Dutchman, who was part of the Netherlands squad which disappointed at Euro 2012, already feels an increased desire for success among his colleagues.

"We have put a season behind us in which we were so close to winning every title, yet we did not win anything in the end,'' Robben told reporters.

"That makes you even more hungry for titles. We want to put that right. I can already feel that the team has the will, even if many of our important players have not been in training yet because of their holidays after Euro 2012.''

The influential German duo of club captain Philipp Lahm and vice-captain Bastian Schweinsteiger have not travelled with the side to the Far East, instead training at home in Germany in order to reach full fitness ahead of the Bundesliga kick-off.
