Newco Rangers have been cleared to sign players this summer as SFA have put back the club's transfer embargo until after the end of the transfer window.
The club have accepted a 12-month transfer ban, which was a condition of them gaining membership to the Scottish Football Association, but rather than it starting now it will begin on September 1.
And with the embargo put back, Rangers boss Ally McCoist will now be free to add to his squad ahead of their campaign in the Third Division.
Charles Green's newco club were voted into the bottom tier by Scottish Football League clubs, after failing in their bid to get into the Scottish Premier League.
The registration embargo and a £160,000 fine were handed down to Rangers for a range of offences, mainly the club's failure to pay tax under former owner Craig Whyte.
