Canaries swoop for Snodgrass

Norwich City have had a bid for Leeds United skipper Robert Snodgrass rejected by the League Championship side.

Snodgrass is currently pondering a new contract offer from Leeds that would make him the highest-paid player at Elland Road but is yet to put pen to paper.

While the Scotland international is mulling his future, Leeds manager Neil Warnock is trying to fend off interest from Premier League side Norwich.

"It's been made public that they have bid, but from our own point of view it's not what we're looking for," Warnock told Leeds' official website. "We'd like to keep Rob, and Rob knows that. Whether that will be possible we'll have to wait and see.

"It's difficult when players get their heads turned, but I'd like to keep Rob at the club and that's what I'm trying to do at the moment. Unless they come up with a valuation that the club thinks is satisfactory then that's what we want to do."
