Wigan holding Fyvie talks

Aberdeen youngster Fraser Fyvie looks set for a switch to the Premier League as the club confirmed he is holding talks with Wigan, with a fee believed to have been agreed.

Fyvie, 19, has been linked with a move to England for some time and it was just last week that manager Craig Brown admitted that he was expecting bids to arrive.

A statement on the official Aberdeen club website read: "Aberdeen FC can this morning confirm Fraser Fyvie is currently south of the border holding discussions with Wigan Athletic.

"The 19-year-old midfielder became the youngest ever player to start for the Dons when he made his debut against Hamilton Accies in 2008.''

A Scotland Under-19 international, Fyvie made his debut for Aberdeen aged just 16 and has already played over 50 league games for the club.
