Heart's Hamill heading for Korea
Melbourne Heart A-League and Olyroos defender Brendan Hamill has agreed terms for a transfer to leading South Korean club Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma.
The seven-time Korean champions were quick to bolster their defensive stocks after the departure of Australian defender Sasa Ognenovski who has joined Qatar's Umm Salal.
Twenty-year-old Hamill was one of the inaugural members of the Heart squad, linking with the club in 2010 after a stint at the Australian Institute of Sport.
Hamill, a member of the Young Socceroos for the 2011 FIFA Under 20s World Cup, has played 34 games for the Heart and will leave for South Korea this week to undergo a medical.
