A-League club Melbourne Heart have signed former Gold Coast United striker Golgol Mebrahtu and Irish defender Steven Gray.
Mebrahtu spent three years at now-defunct Gold Coast, playing 26 A-League matches but failing to score.
But the 21-year-old's pace and keenness to run at defenders put him on the Heart's radar, and they have signed him on a two-year deal.
Dublin-born Gray, 30, was a product of English Premier League club Southampton's youth system.
He has also played in the UEFA Champions League with his former Irish club Drogheda United.
A left-footed central defender, he has been training with the Heart and has impressed in two seasons in the Victorian Premier League.
