Fiorentina interested in Guidetti

Fiorentina have shown an interest in bringing Manchester City youngster John Guidetti to Serie A, according to the the player's agent Roberto de Fanti.

Guidetti, 20, had an impressive loan spell at Feyernoord in the 2011-12 season, scoring 20 goals in 23 games for the Dutch giants and attracting interest from many clubs around Europe.

At Manchester City, though, chances look slim for the Swede, who finds himself behind the likes of Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko at Eastlands.

With that in mind, Guidetti has been looking for a new club this summer and has not been short of admirers in Italy, where both Lazio and Fiorentina are thought to be keen on securing his services.

"There are a lot of conditions to meet before he can arrive in Italy," De Fanti told Calcio Mercato. "At City he is behind many top players and is rated at around seven to nine million euros.

"Fiorentina are a club that have shown an interest in his situation. Their sporting director (Daniele) Prade is a football expert at international level and knows Guidetti well."
