Atletico Madrid have confirmed that Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is to spend another season on loan at the Europa League winners.
Courtois, 20, flourished for the Spanish side in his loan stint as Atletico finished fifth in La Liga and clinched the Europa League crown for the second time in three years.
The Belgium international is behind Petr Cech in the Chelsea pecking order and Diego Simone's side have decided to allow him another full campaign away from London.
"Thibaut Courtois will next season play at Atletico Madrid after Atletico on Wednesday reached an agreement with Chelsea on transfer for a year,'' a statement on the Spanish club's official website read.
"The Belgian international goalkeeper played all of last season on loan playing in in 37 games in La Liga and 15 in the UEFA Europa League - a competition won in Bucharest on May 9.''
Atletico also confirmed that Borussia Monchengladbach had completed the signing of 23-year-old Spain international Alvaro Dominguez on a five-year contract.
