Cardiff want Bellamy return
Cardiff City chief executive Alan Whiteley hopes to bring Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy back to the club, should he become available this summer.
Bellamy's future a Liverpool has been thrown into doubt by a change of management at Anfield.
The Wales international spent the 2010-11 season on loan at boyhood side Cardiff, with the Bluebirds hopeful of another return should Bellamy be looking to move.
"We'd love to have Craig back," Whiteley said. "But he is a Liverpool player and until Liverpool and Craig decide what they are going to do, there are conversations that we can't even have at the moment.
"We don't know how it is going to pan out and it is for Craig and Liverpool to decide what they are going to do first. But if Craig decides he is going to leave Liverpool and Liverpool are prepared to let him go, then clearly we'd love to talk to him."
Bellamy, 32, scored six times in 27 league appearances after rejoining Liverpool from Manchester City last summer.
