Didier Drogba's representatives have dismissed speculation the striker could sign for Barcelona.
Drogba, 34, left Chelsea this summer and agreed a move to Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua on a free transfer, but reports emerged that he had a clause in his contract allowing him to move on a free transfer and could instead make a shock move to Barcelona.
However, the Sports PR Company tweeted: "Drogba to Barca story complete nonsense. As we told you he joins Shanghai in July."
The striker is reportedly set to spend several days this week in Catalonia but Barcelona president Sandro Rosell said it was not connected to the club.
"I don't know anything about Drogba," Rosell said. "If he's in Barcelona, he's on holiday, but it has nothing to do with Barca."
