Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra is a transfer target for Russian side Spartak Moscow, according to his agent.
Diarra, 27, has found himself down the Bernabeu pecking order over the past two seasons, with Jose Mourinho generally preferring to use Sami Khedira ahead of him in central midfield.
The France international has been heavily linked with a move away from Madrid and AC Milan had been touted as potential suitors.
However, it now seems Diarra could be heading further east, with his representative Claudio Vigorelli claiming to have received a serious approach from Spartak, who are managed by former Valencia coach Unai Emery.
"It would be difficult for Diarra to play in Italy," Vigorelli said. "Lass' has a year left on his contract at Real Madrid and now has an important offer on the table from Spartak Moscow."
Reports suggest a fee £8 million would be enough for Spartak to prise him away from Real, who could lose him for nothing when his contract expires next summer.
The former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder moved to the Bernabeu from Portsmouth in 2009 and though he started 15 La Liga games in 2011-12, he featured in just four of Los Blancos' 12 Champions League matches.
