Pedro wants duo at Barca

Barcelona forward Pedro has expressed his hope that the club will complete deals for rumoured targets Jordi Alba and Javi Martinez.

• Alba set for Barca move

Pedro, 24, is currently at Euro 2012 with the Spanish squad, where he is training alongside the pair on a daily basis and getting a detailed look at their game.

"Let's hope [Barca] sign [Alba]," Pedro told Mundo Deportivo. "He's a magnificent player with a bright future.

"He is complete, can play as either a winger of a full-back, is quick, has a great left foot, gets to the byline and crosses well. He would adapt very quickly at Barca, so let's hope he can come in. He would be a great signing."

On Martinez, he added: "The same as Alba. Even though he is young, he has a lot of experience. He is agile and a very good player. He would also be a very good signing."

Javi Martinez was linked with a €40 million switch to Bayern Munich in Friday's copy of As, but his agent has since come out to deny the story.
