Redknapp: No conflict with Levy

Harry Redknapp insisted he does not have a personal conflict with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy as he prepared for make-or-break talks over his future on Wednesday.

Redknapp, whose current deal at Spurs has only one year left to run, strongly denied reports on Tuesday night that he has resigned his position after talks with the club.

Redknapp is seeking a three-year deal, with the 65-year-old loath to go into next season without assurances over his future, but Levy has so far been reluctant to accede to his terms. Even so, the Spurs boss has rejected speculation his relationship with his chairman has reached breaking point.

He told ESPN: "I have no problem with the chairman, despite what is being said. It is not true what is being said, that I have a problem with Daniel. I don't."

Levy has been dealing with a family bereavement, which has held up the negotiations, and Redknapp added: "My relationship with Daniel is okay, but he has obviously had more on his plate than my contract."

With Redknapp having no intention of submitting his resignation, Levy would have to pay around £3 million in compensation should he decide to make a managerial change this summer.
