Sydney FC have signed former Newcastle Jets defender Adam Griffiths for the next A-League season.
The 32-year-old Griffiths joins Sydney following a couple seasons with Chinese Super League club Hangzhou and has been signed by new Sky Blues coach Ian Crook as a central defender.
"We're delighted that Adam has agreed to join Sydney FC," Crook said.
"He is a very talented player who fits in with what we are trying to put together at Sydney FC.
"Adam is a Sydney boy, he's hungry and has a winning mentality, something he has proven in the past. He's also got good pace, he's experienced and he gives us not only a very strong central defender but some versatility."
Griffith's, who grew up in Sydney's Sutherland Shire, will train with his new teammates on Monday.
"I look forward to giving everything I've got for Sydney FC. It's a big club with ambitions to win things and that suits me. It's a bonus to play in front of family and friends, as well as the Sydney FC fans," he said.
