Johnson and Welbeck fit for Euro 2012

England boss Roy Hodgson has eased fears over the fitness of Glen Johnson and Danny Welbeck.

With less than a fortnight until the start of Euro 2012, Hodgson has a number of injury concerns - the most notable being Gareth Barry who faces a crucial scan on Monday. Scott Parker is also a worry, while Welbeck and Johnson have been nursing ankle and toe problems respectively.

Welbeck and Johnson did not feature in the 1-0 win over Norway on Saturday, but they are not causing Hodgson any concern ahead of the Group D opener with France on June 11.

"I am not worried about Glen Johnson," Hodgson said. "I am not worried about Danny Welbeck. We have sorted that one out.

"I am convinced they will be more than fit when they get on the plane to go to Poland."

Should Barry miss out, Hodgson has a contingency plan in mind which could see Everton's Phil Jagielka drafted in to the squad.

"I am prepared to reconfigure," Hodgson said. "I am not necessarily looking to replace man-for-man in the midfield area because we have a lot of players in that area."
