Leonardo: No PSG offer for Lavezzi

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has denied that the club has made a €26 million bid for Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi and insists they will "reflect carefully" before making any moves this summer.

PSG have been heavily linked with a swoop for Lavezzi, with some reports in Italy recently suggesting that they would be willing to meet his €31 million release clause.

The French press, too, has been full of conjecture about a possible transfer and the latest claims are that a figure of €26 million could be enough to lure the Argentina ace away from Napoli.

However, Leonardo has moved to quell the speculation, insisting that PSG have not tabled any official offers for the player.

"There's nothing concrete in it, nothing official," Leonardo told Sky Sport Italia. "All the clubs are studying each other, as it takes a move from someone to then spark the other transfers. We're still at the start.

"The transfer market is unpredictable and can move quickly. There are three months to go in trading and we want to reflect carefully before making a move."

PSG playmaker Javier Pastore last week publicly urged international team-mate Lavezzi join him at the Parc des Princes, saying: "I would love for him to come here. He would be an ideal player to strengthen our team. He's a complete player - and fast - and is also a man who can bring something to the dressing room with his determination and his personality."
