Argentina announce full squad

There were no real surprises as Argentina boss Alejandro Sabella added five domestic-based to his squad for the World Cup qualifier against Ecuador.

• Tevez misses out on squad

Sabella had already named the 18 overseas players for the match on June 2, but has now added Boca Juniors duo Agustin Orion and Clemente Rodriguez plus Estudiantes trio Mariano Andujar, Leandro Desabato and Rodrigo Brana.

The same players will face Brazil in a friendly in the United States the following week.

The announcement means no recall for Boca star Juan Roman Riquelme, 33, despite his fine form in recent weeks.

Argentina squad: S Romero (Sampdoria), A Orion (Boca Juniors), M Andujar (Estudiantes); P Zabaleta (Manchester City), M Rodriguez (Universidad de Chile), E Garay (Benfica), F Fernandez (Napoli), H Campagnaro (Napoli), M Rojo (Spartak), C Rodriguez (Boca Juniors), L Desabato (Estudiantes); J Mascherano (Barcelona), F Gago (Roma), J Sosa (FC Metalist), M Rodriguez (Liverpool), P Guinazu (Internacional), E Salvio (Atletico Madrid), R Brana (Estudiantes); E Lavezzi (Napoli), A Di Maria (Real Madrid), L Messi (Barcelona), G Higuain (Real Madrid), S Aguero (Manchester City).
