Tottenham midfielder Nico Kranjcar is toying with the idea of a move to Russia or Ukraine, admitting that money will play a part in his thinking.
Kranjcar, 27, has been linked with a potential transfer to Dynamo Kiev in recent weeks, whilst Russian sides are starting to pay massive wages to attract star players.
This season at Spurs, Kranjcar only made twelve Premier League appearances, and looks set to depart the club this summer, as Harry Redknapp looks to finance his summer transfer activity.
"In Russia and Ukraine playing football you can earn huge money.Whether we admit it or not, money is important. Football in the east has progressed. The teams are always high up in the Champions League or are in the Europa League final. It's not like it was 10 years ago,'' Kranjcar told Croatian website Index.
Meanwhile, the agent of Tottenham midfielder Giovani dos Santos revealed that a proposed move to Villarreal had now collapsed due to the Spanish side's relegation from the Primera Liga.
"We were very advanced in terms of agreeing for Giovani to play for Villarreal, but that has all collapsed now because they have been relegated," Dos Santos' Vicente Montes told Mexican Radio station Grupo Formula.
"Villarreal being relegated has affected everything - the transfer, the wages. It would have been different had they stayed in the Primera Division."
