Scolari to leave Palmeiras

Palmeiras manager Luis Felipe Scolari has confirmed that he will not remain at the club heading into the 2013 season.

Scolari, formerly manager of both Chelsea and the Brazilian national team, has endured a torrid time of it at the Palestra Italia, with internal disputes reportedly rife.

It appears though that Felipao is preparing to draw a line under his time at the Paulista giants at the end of the season.

"I don't think about staying at Palmeiras in 2013, and they also do not think about me staying. We have talked internally," Scolari told TV Gazeta.

"People think we do not have a good relationship, dialogue, but we agreed as adults. We know that often a cycle is closed by the end of a contract."
