Pastore hopes for Lavezzi deal

Paris St Germain star Javier Pastore is hopeful the club can sign Napoli forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.

• Pastore: Higuain perfect for PSG

Reports in the French press in recent days have suggested that PSG are prepared to pay 27-year-old Lavezzi's €31 million release clause, and Pastore, who signed for PSG from Palermo last summer, feels his fellow Argentina international would be a major boost to the club.

"I would love for him to come here," he said. "He would be an ideal player to strengthen our team. He's a complete player - and fast - and is also a man who can bring something to the dressing room with his determination and his personality."

FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti, who is not connected to Lavezzi, believes the deal will go through.

"Pocho [Lavezzi] will play in Paris next season, because they are the only club to have made an offer close to [Napoli president Aurelio] De Laurentiis' demands," Bronzetti said. "The announcement could happen this week."
