Mcfadden amongst Everton released

Everton have released six out-of-contract players at the end of the season, including Scotland midfielder James McFadden and American goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann.

McFadden, 29 made just eight appearances upon his return to Goodison Park, having joined on a free-transfer in October, while Hahnemann did not appear after signing a one-year deal last September.

Argentine loanee Denis Stracqualursi has returned to Argentinian club Tigres, whilst Royston Drenthe, who did not play the final month of the season after being disciplined by manager David Moyes, will be searching for a new club this summer also.

Goalkeepers Adam Davies and Connor Roberts, defender Aristote Nsiala and winger Femi Orenuga have all been released having never featured for the first team.
