Barcelona have revealed defender Dani Alves will miss next week's Copa del Rey final after breaking his collarbone in training.
Alves, 29, sustained the injury on Wednesday and, following an assessment of the problem, it was confirmed he will be forced to undergo surgery.
Barcelona play Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish cup final on May 25, in what will be Pep Guardiola's final match as manager.
Alves has been ruled out of action for up to eight weeks.
"The player underwent surgery this afternoon to correct his fractured clavicle after sustaining his injury this morning during the first team's training session,'' read a statement on the club's website.
"[Club] doctors Ricard Pruna and Carles Torrens, in collaboration with Mutua Egarsat, performed surgery on Dani Alves' broken clavicle. The player will be out of action for six to eight weeks.''
