Deschamps' future uncertain

Didier Deschamps wants to remain in charge of Marseille but has conceded his future is up in the air following a poor Ligue 1 campaign.

OM sit 10th in the table following a goalless draw at St Etienne, after which Deschamps was forced to field more questions about his future.

"I do not have to answer this question,'' Deschamps told reporters. "I am employed here. It will be left in the hands of the president (Vincent Labrune) and (owner) Margarita Louis-Dreyfus.

"They will decide my fate, I do not know anymore than that. If she (Margarita) wants to see me, then she can. She is my boss after all.''

Deschamps led Marseille to the title in his first year in charge in 2009, while they also lifted the Coupe de la Ligue this term.

The former World Cup winner has two years left on his contract and reiterated his desire to remain.

"It is not yet the time right time for an evaluation of the season, but I will see the president like I have done every year I've been here,'' he said.

"It's not me who makes the schedule. You (the press) know my situation; I have two years left on my contract, so it is expected that I'll be here next season.''
