Santos set up Tigres semi

Santos Laguna claimed a 2-1 win over Jaguares to move through to the semi-finals of the Clausura play-offs 6-4 on aggregate.

Going into the game with a 4-3 advantage from the first leg, Santos, who finished top of the Clausura table, suffered a jolt when Armando Zamorano levelled the tie in the seventh minute.

But Carlos Quintero hit back seven minutes later and Oribe Peralta effectively put the game to bed eight minutes before the break.

In the last four, Santos will face Tigres Monterrey, who won 4-1 at Morelia to advance 5-1 on aggregate.

Tigres edged the first leg 1-0, and this match was similarly tense until the 64th minute when Hugo Ayala opened the scoring for the visitors, swiftly followed by strikes from Lucas Lobos and substitute Edno Cunha.

Miguel Sabah pulled one back four minutes from time, but Aaron Fernandez rounded off the scoring for Tigres from the spot in the dying moments.

The other semi-final will be between Monterrey and Club America.
