Enrique quiet on future

Luis Enrique has remained tightlipped over his future at Roma with reports gathering pace that Andre Villas-Boas is set to succeed him at the Stadio Olimpico.

• Baldini: Enrique needs another year

Enrique has seen his side fall to seventh in the table after a run of four games without victory, and the Giallorossi are now doomed to miss out on the Champions League.

Asked about his future, Enrique said: "At the moment all that counts is the future of Roma, which is the match against Catania [on Saturday].

"Two games remain, and they will determine where we end up in the league. We have been chasing European football since the beginning of the season - let's see if we are able to reach it. Then I will meet with the club executives. It will be an important meeting."

Villas-Boas has been linked with the position and Valencia, who had lined him up as a replacement for current boss Unai Emery, have claimed the Portuguese has already agreed his next move.

Valencia spokesman Riccardo Lazzari told Rete Sport radio: "I know that Valencia contacted Villas-Boas, but negotiations did not progress because his entourage already had something in their hands. At the moment, I cannot say if Villas-Boas already has contact with Roma or other clubs. The only certainty is that someone preceded Valencia."

Former Porto boss Villas-Boas was dismissed as Chelsea manager in March.
