Perth Glory sign youth league players
Perth Glory have signed 18-year-old midfielder Brandon O'Neill and 20-year-old Ndumba Makeche for the next two A-League seasons.
O'Neill and Zambian-born striker Makeche both made their debuts in the lead-up to the club's recent finals campaign, with O'Neill even appearing off the bench in the club's elimination final win over Melbourne Heart.
"To go into last season as a youth team player and then get my debut in the starting line-up for the senior squad was incredible," O'Neill said.
Makeche scored eight goals for the Glory youth team this season and will aim to learn from the likes of Glory strikers Shane Smeltz and Billy Mehmet next campaign.
Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson, who signed Gold Coast's Chris Harold and Melbourne Heart's Adrian Zahra earlier in the week, said he was delighted to add more young talent to his squad.
"Getting some young local talent into the squad was always a priority and we are happy to have both players at Perth Glory," Ferguson said.
