Barcelona have confirmed boss Pep Guardiola is to hold a press conference at 1330 local time (1230 BST) on Friday.
Guardiola is believed to have informed his players at the start of training on Friday morning that he will not renew his contract, which expires in June, and his agent has told CNN that he plans to step down. Sources close to the manager have apparently told El Mundo Deportivo that his decision is down to "tiredness".
The news will not be made official until the press conference, which will see Guardiola facing the media alongside president Sandro Rosell and sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta.
Guardiola has been in charge of Barcelona since 2008, winning three La Liga titles, two Champions Leagues and one Copa del Rey.
