Adrian excited by all-Spanish final

Atletico Madrid striker Adrian is expecting "a very good" against fellow La Liga side Athletic Bilbao, after scoring the winner against Valencia to send his side through to the Europa League showpiece in Bucharest.

Adrian, 24, claimed a stunning goal at the Mestalla to give the Rojiblancos a 1-0 victory on the night and seal a 5-2 aggregate triumph.

Atletico will now have the opportunity to regain the trophy they won in 2010, when a Diego Forlan double against Fulham delivered the club its first major European trophy since 1962.

"We could not ask for more," Adrian said. "We have worked hard in the league and in the Europa League, and we showed tremendous enthusiasm.

"We knew they [Valencia] would come out very strong and that it was important to start well, we held firm and in the second half we won.

"[A final against Athletic Bilbao] speaks well of the Spanish teams and will be a very good."

Athletic reached the final thanks to a dramatic late strike from Ferndo Llorente, as they beat Portuguese side Sporting 3-1 at San Mames and 4-3 on aggregate.
