Sydney FC goalkeeper Ivan Necevski completed a remarkable late-season rise by taking out the A-League club's player of the year award on Thursday night.
Necevski joined three-time winner Alex Brosque, Clint Bolton and Robbie Middleby in taking out the award, voted on by all members of Sydney's A-League squad.
The 32-year-old spent most of the season on the bench behind Liam Reddy but made the most of his opportunity when handed a starting role for the last seven matches of the season.
His form played a big part in Sydney FC's run into the A-League finals, before the Sky Blues' hopes were ended against Wellington Phoenix.
Sydney FC captain Terry McFlynn took out the Vitezslav Lavicka Clubman of the Year Award for his work in the community and his leadership in helping the football department embrace the significant increase in the club's community program.
Playmaker Nick Carle was named fans' player of the year, teenage midfielder Hagi Gligor won the National Youth League player of the year while Teresa Polias took out the club's W-League player of the year.
