Stanislav Griga and Michal Hipp have been appointed joint coaches of the Slovakian national side.
The Slovakian Football Federation made the move after failing to secure the release of Czech Pavel Vrba from Viktoria Plzen.
Griga, 50, and Hipp, 49, have signed 20-month contracts and will lead the team in qualifying for the 2014 World Cup. The pair succeed Vladimir Weiss, who departed in January.
Slovakia have been drawn in Group G alongside Greece, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lithuania, Latvia and Liechtenstein.
