Kansas City maintain perfect start

Kansas City continued their perfect start to the MLS season with a 3-1 win at the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Aurelien Collin's 24th-minute openers was followed by a Martin Bonjour own goal and Kei Kamara's strike after half-time to ensure a seventh straight win to start the season.

Kansas City conceded for just the second time during their impressive start when Sebastien Le Toux grabbed an 80th-minute consolation.

DC United remained third in the Eastern Conference, already 12 points adrift of Kansas City, as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to the Montreal Impact.

Maicon Santos grabbed an equaliser for the hosts four minutes after Bernado Corradi's 69th-minute opener.
