Seongnam claim first win in style

Seongnam Chunma routed Central Coast Mariners 5-0 to earn their first win in Asian Champions League Group G.

Lee Chang-hoon fired the South Korean hosts in front after 39 minutes, with Everton adding another three minutes later.

Kim Sung-hwan made it 3-0 in the 71st minute, Everton then struck from the penalty spot three minutes later and Vladimir Jovancic scored six minutes from time to cap a dominant display.

The win moved Seongnam to the top of the standings, ahead of Nagoya Grampus Eight on goal difference with the Japanese side held to a goalless draw by Tianjin Taida.

Adelaide United sit three points clear at the top of Group E following a last-gasp 1-0 victory over Pohang Steelers.

The match appeared to be heading for a draw until Bruce Djite struck in the dying seconds.

Bunyodkor climbed to second in the pool with a 3-2 win over Gamba Osaka.

Kamoliddim Murzoev's 15th-minute opener for the home side was cancelled out by Shu Jurata five minutes later.

But Lutfulla Turaev restored Bunyodkor's lead shortly before the interval and Anvarjon Soliev made it 3-1 after 84 minutes.

Hiroyuki Abe pulled another goal back for Gamba in the final minute but it was too little too late for the Japanese club.

Al-Rayyan moved into a qualifying position in Group A courtesy of a 1-0 win away to Nasaf Quarshi.

Rodrigo Tabata scored the only goal in the 62nd minute in Uzbekistan as the Qatari side moved second ahead of Esteghlal, who drop a place despite an impressive 1-1 draw away to Al Jazira.

Arash Borhani gave the Iranians a first-half lead and though Ricardo Oliveira equalised three minutes after the hour mark, Al Jazira still dropped points for the first time in their four games in the group.

In Group C, Sepahan were forced to wait to secure their qualification after Bakary Kone's late goal earned Lekhwiya a 1-0 win in Qatar.

The Iranian side remain joint top of the group with seven points, one ahead of tonight's opponents and level with Saudi Arabia's Al Ahly, who beat Al Nasr 3-1.

Amara Diane gave the UAE side a half-time lead but second-half strikes from Abdulrahim Jezawi, Victor Simoes and Kamil Almousa turned the game around.
