Hill hopes QPR find consistency

Clint Hill accepts QPR need to find a quick fix for their inconsistent form if they are to stay in the Premier League.

The Rs are currently two points clear of 18th-placed Bolton, but have played two matches more. Mark Hughes' men may have beaten Liverpool, Arsenal and Swansea in their last three home games, but they were all followed up by away defeats.

Defender Hill knows that must change over the final four fixtures, which start against Tottenham in Saturday's early evening kick-off.

"It's up and down at the moment - especially away from home,'' Hill told the club's official website. "We can't seem to set the same standards as we do at Loftus Road. That's something that we need to fix. We've got some big games coming up.''

Wigan have pulled clear of the drop zone with victories over United and Arsenal. Hill knows the battle for survival will go to the wire, with the Hoops set to face testing trips to Chelsea and, on the final day, Manchester City.

"It's going to be tough. Everybody's got hard games,'' he said. "People say that some teams have got easier fixture lists than others, but there are no easy games in this league. Every team will find that out in the run-in.

"Hopefully we can raise our game against the big teams that we've got left to play, as we have done in recent weeks. It gives us hope that we have beat teams like that. We have got four decent teams still to play and hopefully we can get some results.''
