Liverpool recall goalkeeper Gulacsi

Liverpool have recalled goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi from his loan spell at Hull to act as a backup to third-choice Brad Jones as Pepe Reina and Doni are both suspended for their FA Cup semi-final against Everton on Saturday.

• Dalglish gives Jones backing

Gulacsi, 21, was on a season-long loan at Hull but picked up a knee injury and was unable to regain his place in the side. Indeed, he has not played since New Year's Eve.

A statement on Hull's official website read: "Goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi is set to be recalled from his loan spell with the Tigers by parent club Liverpool. The Hungarian stopper will return to Anfield later today.''

The Hungarian, who has had loan spells at Hereford and Tranmere, is yet to make his first-team bow for Liverpool but will only be required for the Wembley bench in case Jones picks up an injury or becomes the third Reds keeper to be sent off in as many games.

Youth team prospects Danny Ward, 18, and 17-year-old Tyrell Belford are also on standby if needed.
