Perth Glory are a step away from reaching the A-League Grand Final after a thrilling, come-from-behind 3-2 win over Wellington Phoenix.
The West Coast outfit had led through Bas Van den Brink's opener, but looked set to be dumped out when Chris Greenacre and Manny Muscat swung things in the Phoenix's favour in the space of eight second-half minutes.
The Glory were not done, though, and when Billy Mehmet struck 18 minutes from the end, extra time was ensured.
And, despite goal machine Shane Smeltz failing to fire, Perth still had enough to nick it in the second half of the extra 30 minutes, with Todd Howarth doing the damage with eight minutes left.
As a result, they will now face the losers of Sunday's second leg between Central Coast and Brisbane (the Roar lead 2-0), for the right to face the winners in the showpiece game.
