Lazio keen on Ederson - Agent

The agent of Lyon's Brazilian midfielder Ederson has claimed that he has held discussions with Lazio over a possible summer move.

Ederson, 26, would be available on a Bosman free transfer with his contract expiring in the summer and Lazio have moved quickly for the Brazil international.

"I met with Lazio yesterday," the player's representative Antonio Caliendo told La Lazio Siamo Noi. "We took some forward steps, but nothing has been decided yet.

"Things are going well and there is a desire from both parties to reach a happy ending. There could be something agreed by the end of April."

Ederson has suffered from injuries over the past two seasons and during his absences has slipped down the pecking order in the attacking midfield positions.

"He's having problems at Lyon right now," Caliendo continued. "He's not really seen the pitch since he decided to not renew his contract."

Lazio are not the only team in the chase, with the agent confirming interest from Serie A giants AC Milan, as well as options in Brazil.

"Lazio will make a great signing," Caliendo stated in another interview with Radio Mana Mana. "President Claudio Lotito has been chasing him for five years.

"The player wants to come to Italy and his future could be at Lazio, even if he's also received some important offers from Brazil.

"Milan? They spoke to the player, but they've not been in touch since."
