Kuyt may leave Liverpool

Dirk Kuyt's agent has confirmed the striker could leave Liverpool.

• Kuyt frustrated by lack of chances
• Dalglish expecting Reds to react

A number of British newspapers reported on Thursday morning that Kuyt, 31, is likely to be part of a summer clear-out at Anfield. The Netherlands international has had to settle for fewer first-team opportunities under Kenny Dalglish.

"Kuyt is considering his future," agent Rob Jansen told pagineromaniste.com. "He still has a contract with Liverpool which expires in 2014."

Serie A has been touted as a probable destination, and Jansen said Kuyt would be open to a move to Roma.

"AS Roma could be an option for Dirk. They are a prestigious club that is fighting for important objectives. With (Roma sporting director Walter) Sabatini there is an excellent relationship.

"I can say that Roma is part of the list of clubs that Kuyt would take seriously into account."

Roma, though, appear unlikely to move for Luis Suarez.

Sabatini told Radio Mana Mana: "There is no negotiation going on for Suarez. Even though he's had a few problems recently, he's a really strong player, but these are only transfer rumours."
