Pogba, Turan would evolve Barca midfield

By ESPN Staff

Premier Showdown - Mar 31 - Apr 2

A point apiece last week means it is still very tight at the top though with eight rounds left Tommy Smyth needs to get back on level terms as soon as possible. Dale Johnson remains joint top with the Rest of the World, and this weekend our merry band of challengers are represented by Scott Masse, who is from Vancouver in Canada. Scott tells us: "I am a 30-year-old High School teacher and coach who lives in Vancouver, BC. I support Liverpool and feel as though the team has underachieved this year in the league but things are not as dire as some think. "There have been many near misses and goal-frames hit throughout the year. Our finishing must improve, with Lucas back next year and hopefully goalscoring recruits the top-four shouldn't be unreaslitic in 2012-13! Thank you." Let's play!

For each round of matches we invite someone to represent the Rest of the World and take on Press Pass' Tommy Smyth and ESPNsoccernet journalist Dale Johnson in our predictions game.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.

Dale holds on to take the points and open up an important lead at the top of the table. Time is running out for Tommy.

Table after Round 30
Dale: 32
Rest of the World: 32
Tommy: 26

Best week's total of season: 13, Dale Johnson

Final table 2010-11
Tommy: 46.5
Dale: 45
Rest of the World: 22.5

Best week's total of season: 13, Tommy Smyth (from eight fixtures).

So do you think you can beat the best of the best? Now is your chance to find out!
