Mourinho: No City contact

Jose Mourinho has spoken out in his Friday press conference to deny claims in the Spanish media that he has agreed to join Manchester City on June 30.

• Bryan Robson: Jose can replace Fergie
• Rafa Nadal v Cristiano Ronaldo

The claims emerged in journal Mundo Deportivo on Friday morning, with the news quickly spreading Europe-wide.

Mourinho, who is contracted at Real Madrid until 2014 on his current deal, addressed the reports and gave a curt response.

"I can deny any contact [with Man City]," the former-Chelsea boss said.

"I have no need to talk about the issue, I have two more years on my contract."

It has been widely reported for some time that Mourinho has been looking to return to management in the Premier League and Manchester City are undoubtedly one of the few clubs who could afford the Portuguese's wage demands.

Mourinho won two Premier League titles during his three-year spell at Chelsea and only last month was linked with a return to the helm at Stamford Bridge.
