Andre Ayew dreaming of Bayern

Marseille forward Andre Ayew says it would be a "dream" to sign for Bayern Munich.

• Marseille 0-2 Bayern Munich

Bayern handed Marseille a 2-0 defeat in the first leg of the team's Champions League quarter-final at the Stade Velodrome on Wednesday night and, after seeing them in action, Ayew says he would relish a switch to the Allianz Arena.

"Bayern are a dream for all the Marseille players," he said in Le Parisien. "A good and exciting championship with lots of trophies won every year... they have a huge history.

"They have the same status as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea - the ultimate aspiration."

Despite his aspirations, 22-year-old Ayew says he is happy to continue his development at Marseille for the time being.

"I need to go step by step. I'm not focused on that yet. I dreamed of playing first team football with Marseille and it's really great. I want to win something with France."
