Galliani: Thiago Silva not for sale
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has insisted defender Thiago Silva is not for sale.
Reports have suggested Thiago Silva, 27, could be targeted by a number of top European sides this summer, including Barcelona.
The European champions are looking to strengthen their backline and reportedly consider Thiago Silva to be an ideal candidate to replace defender Carles Puyol in the future.
However, Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport: "If [Barcelona president] Sandro Rosell asks me for Thiago Silva, I will reply that the player is not for sale.''
Silva has been a regular for the Rossoneri since joining the Serie A giants from Fluminense in 2009, and is under contract until June 2016.
The Brazilian is currently sidelined with a thigh injury and will miss the two Champions League quarter-final ties against Barcelona. Milan host Barca in the first of those matches at the San Siro on Wednesday evening.
