Celtic defender Daniel Majstorovic could be on his way back to Malmo in the summer after both the player and his former club refused to rule out a possible transfer.
Majstorovic, 35, is out of contract at the end of the season and is expected to leave Parkhead on a free transfer having not yet been offered a new deal.
The Sweden international may have already played his last match for Celtic as he is currently out for the rest of this campaign after damaging his cruciate ligament in a collision with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anders Svensson ahead of his country's friendly against Croatia in February.
Majstorovic played for Malmo - his boyhood club - between 2001 and 2004 and when asked about a possible return he said: "I haven't spoken to any clubs in Sweden but I'm open to anything."
Meanwhile, Malmo director Per Agren told the Daily Record: "We would never rule out the prospect of signing a good player."
