Napoli wary of wounded Chelsea

Napoli assistant coach Nicolo Frustalupi insists that the club will not be taking the challenge of Chelsea lightly, despite the recent sacking of manager Andre Villas-Boas.

Frustalupi will be in the dugout to take charge of Napoli on Wednesday due to coach Walter Mazzarri's suspension and, even though the Italian side have a 3-1 lead for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 match, the assistant knows that they cannot underestimate the wounded Blues.

"It will be a much more difficult and intense game than the first one. After the departure of a manager, players always feel sort of responsible and want to do something extra," Frustalupi told Il Corriere dello Sport.

"Every game is unique, and we are feeling comfortable. Chelsea are a team full of champions though and we know that they are very strong at home."

Napoli are favourites and go into the game on the back of a 6-3 win over Cagliari and Frustalupi is keen to continue their fine form into the quarter-finals.

"It would be a dream to qualify for the next round, but we have already done a great job in the Champions League," he added. "Nobody counted on us to make it this far."
