Dalglish won't change approach

Kenny Dalglish knows Liverpool have no chance of securing a Champions League spot if they cannot start scoring more goals but retains full faith in the club's philosophy.

• Adam: Next month is key

Liverpool have scored just 30 Premier League goals this season, and only five clubs have scored fewer. Their failure to convert chances - in evidence during the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal last weekend - has left Liverpool ten points off fourth place, but Dalglish remains happy with overall performances.

"We have got to put the finishing touches to the good work that we have done," Dalglish said. "Whoever comes up with the solution, whether it is a centre-back getting 20 goals a season, I'm not really bothered. We just need to find a solution and a bit of the good fortune, too.

"We've been delighted with the way we've played but disappointed with some of the results because they haven't always reflected the performances. If they hadn't been playing as well then they'd not have created the chances. It's a results-driven business so maybe that is the priority but I don't think we'll ever change the way we play or our principles.

"We keep saying there's going to be one game where we don't play as well as we're capable of and walk away with three points - we're still waiting for it though."
