Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is set to return to action to boost their hopes of catching Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Schweinsteiger, 27, has been out since early February with a ligament injury and Bayern have won only two of their five games in all competitions during that time. A three-point lead at the top of the table before the winter break has turned into a seven-point deficit, but the German star is keen to help against in-form Hoffenheim at the weekend.
"I am not 100% yet. Ideally I would need two or three games but as things are now I have to be ready from the word go," Schweinsteiger said. "We need to find our own game again.
"The way they [Dortmund] are playing at the moment it is difficult to catch up with them."
Hoffenheim have yet to lose under coach Markus Babbel in four games and Bayern cannot afford any more slip-ups, although they also have chances to win silverware elsewhere in the Champions League and the German Cup.
