Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has dropped a hint that he is considering following team-mate Andrey Arshavin to Russia at the end of the season.
The Gunners saw Arshavin leave on loan to Zenit St Petersburg earlier this month, and Bendtner would have no problem with heading in a similar direction.
"There are a lot of very strong players going to Russia, players who previously wouldn't have done so. I'm on loan at the moment but I'll look at all my options when the time comes," Bendtner told Reuters. "In football, you can never say never."
Denmark international Bendtner has spent this campaign on loan at Sunderland, netting three times in 18 Premier League appearances. That is not the sort of scoring form that is likely to make the Black Cats ponder an attempt to make the deal permanent, and his Arsenal career appears a thing of the past, which makes a summer transfer likely.
