Dzeko: No extra pressure

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko insists he is not feeling pressure to perform following the return of Carlos Tevez.

• Tevez to face Preston
• Aguero: Tevez return is key
• City stars back Carlos Tevez return

Tevez is back in training after resolving his differences with Roberto Mancini and is expected to return to action in the coming weeks.

However, the City boss could be faced with a selection headache after leading strikers Dzeko, Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli all found the target in Saturday's 3-0 win over Blackburn.

"It's not pressure, it's just that he can bring quality to the team," Dzeko said. "We are all one team trying to play together and it's good that we scored three because in the end goal difference could be the key."

With City still in the running for the Europa League as well as chasing their first league title since 1968, Dzeko believes the competition for a place in the starting XI is healthy. However the Bosnian, who came off the bench to score his 13th league goal of the season, admits it is frustrating not starting every week.

"That is normal but it's good you have so many quality players around you, and that they are all getting better," he said.

"Of course [it is frustrating to be on the bench], when you have scored so many goals. Sometimes you can play badly, but in the end it's the decision of the manager and I respect that. We won 3-0 so no-one has to say anything. My goals are talking for me, so I'm happy."

City are two points clear at the top of the Premier League, but with champions Manchester United in hot pursuit, Dzeko admits the run-in will be anything but easy.

He said: "When you see the players like Aguero, (David) Silva and Yaya (Toure) and the others, you think, 'Wow, we have to win this' and with these players we can do it, because they are amazing.

"It's still 12 games and we have to try to win every one, then we are surely on top. It won't be easy because United are just behind us, but we will see."
